Kaylah joined First Place AZ in 2022, driven by her passion for supporting individuals with neurodiversities in achieving their personal and professional goals. As employment support supervisor, she coordinates employment supports for First Place–Phoenix residents, ensuring they receive the personalized assistance needed to succeed. Kaylah supervises a team of employment specialists, builds strong employer relationships and collaborates with various stakeholders to implement successful individualized employment plans. She also supports and collaborates with team members on employment initiatives and workforce development projects.
Kaylah holds a Bachelor of Arts with coursework in social work and disability studies from Northern Arizona University and a Master of Education in Special Education from Arizona State University. Her experience contributes to her role in developing and refining employment support resources, tools and curricula tailored to the unique needs of neurodiverse individuals. She is also a Certified Employment Support Professional (CESP) through the Association of People Supporting Employment First.
Working in recreational and clinical settings, Kaylah has supported individuals with neurodiversities across all ages and diagnoses, giving her unique insight into the broad range of barriers faced by this population. Her work is characterized by a deep commitment to creating inclusive environments where individuals can thrive in the workplace and community.
