General Rivera is a seasoned senior operations executive and transformational leader with more than 30 years of service in the United States Army. His distinguished career spans high-impact leadership roles with U.S. Army Central, U.S. Central Command, North American Aerospace Defense Command, U.S. Northern Command and the Texas National Guard.

General Rivera’s leadership philosophy is rooted in the mission of transforming leaders and organizations to be resolute in mission and values, reposed under pressure, resourceful in complexity and resilient in adversity. Over the course of his career, he gained a reputation for inspiring high-performing teams through stability, accountability and purpose-driven leadership.

A graduate of West Point, General Rivera also holds a Master of Strategic Studies from the U.S. Army War College and a Master of Public Administration from the University of Texas at Arlington. He is decorated with the Defense Superior Service Medal, Legion of Merit, Bronze Star, Ranger Tab and Combat Infantryman Badge. General Rivera lives in Salado, Texas, with his wife Margaret, son Joseph and granddaughter Kailyn.
